Dear Pledge Managers,

In order to ensure all pledges are properly tabulated and receipted, I am requesting your assistance with the following:

1.  Each pledge manager is to collect all pledge envelopes and money from their team members.

2.  Registration fees should not be paid through fundraising dollars that are fundraised for the three charities. Registration fees should be paid by each paddler before the first practice.

3.  ON-LINE PLEDGING – paddlers have the opportunity to register on line on the Festival’s web site for pledge collection.  This will help them with asking family and friends in and out of town to pledge their efforts in supporting our three charities.  Amounts collected on line will not have to be added to the paddlers’ envelopes prior to submitting them before the deadline.

4. Charitable receipts for donations will be issued for any pledges $10.00 or greater. Please ensure the pledge forms are filled out legibly to ensure the proper issuance of receipts.

5.  ONE LOCATION for dropping off Pledge Envelopes.

6. ONE FINAL DATE for dropping off your team member’s envelopes, containing all pledge money is: WEDNESDAY JULY 14, 2010 @ 4:00 pm.

7.  You are more than welcome to hand in your team member’s envelopes for the festival at HSBC Bank Canada, during regular business hours beginning July 3 to July 14, 2010.  Any team member’s envelopes that arrive after Wednesday July 14, 2010 @ 4:00 pm will not be eligible for any of the previously listed pledge incentive prizes.         

8.  As the festival is working towards a “greener” festival, this will be the last year for paper / envelope pledging. All pledging will be done on-line pledging via the festivals web site at www.thunderbaydragonboat.com.
